Wanting to live a healthier and happier lifestyle than generations before them, Korea’s millennials cherish their free time and so after they finish work at 6pm they head to the gym, the coffeeshop or both! Keen to look and feel good as they do so, these young consumers are looking for fashionable and multi-functional clothing – an opportunity for all British athleisure brands.

Such is the demand for athleisure that two of the country’s department stores, Lotte and Hyundai, have created dedicated spaces for brands in the category. With Korea’s athleisure market is currently worth GBP 1.5 billion and is expected to grow tp GBP 2 billion by 2020, the time to enter is now.

Jumping on this opportunity last year was UK premium athleisure brand ‘HPE’ (Human Performance Engineering) whose celebrity-endorsed products are available to buy in Lotte Department Store.
