The British Chamber of Commerce in Korea (BCCK) hosts its Human Resources Forum under the topic of ‘Agile HR: Talent Management in the Age of Disruption.’ The Forum convenes HR thought leaders across various industries to discuss topics relevant to the Korean market.
This Forum will bring together industry leaders and experts as well as policymakers to address how technological, generational and cultural shifts impact talent management best practices globally and in Korea.
The speakers will discuss the latest trends that impact that ways in which businesses in Korea manage talent; share challenges and best practices in talent management in Korea; cast a vision for the way forward in talent management in the local and global market.
Forum Theme: Agile HR
In a world of rapid change and digitalisation, organisations face a growing imperative to redesign themselves as agile organisations – one which moves faster, adapts quickly, facilitates rapid learning and embraces the dynamic career demands of their people. This so-called ‘agile’ movement is now quickly spreading to all parts of an organisation, including HR.
For an organisation to be truly agile, it is important that they integrate agility within their HR department which touches every aspect of the work and employees of an organisation. Through various lifecycles of people management functions, HR professionals play a key role in creating and maintaining organisational structures and cultures and as such must understand this movement.
The Forum will discuss how organisations in Korea can adopt the mindset of agility through their people management functions whilst considering the unique challenges of the local market and will look to particular case studies of its application. The Forum will also look at the future of organisational structure, the role of technology and the importance of certification and policy in making work environments and culture more ‘agile’.
