Marketing Communications Manager

 

The Marketing & Communications Manager manages the day to day activities and long-term marketing and communications strategy for the Chamber.

 

Duties of the Marketing & Communications Manager include:

  • Managing all marketing and communications activities for the Chamber and activities within the marketing & communications team;
  • Supporting the marketing and communication needs of Chamber members;
  • Developing the marketing strategy for the Chamber in line with its objectives;
  • Co-ordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities;
  • Co-ordinating PR (Communications) efforts in line with the objectives of the Chamber;
  • Overseeing the Chamber’s marketing budget;
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans;
  • Planning and implementing promotional campaigns;
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results;
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity;
  • Preparing online and print marketing materials (including webzine, newsletter, SNS, website etc);
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications;
  • Working closely with partners who assist marketing and/or PR activities
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant Chamber functions are keptinformed of marketing objectives and liaise with Chamber teams as needed;
  • Analysing potential strategic partner relationships for Chamber marketing.

Requirements of the role:

  • Korean national with excellent written and spoken command of English;
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience;
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing/Communications/PR (preferred);
  • Strong analytical and project management skills;
  • Confident and dynamic personality;
  • Strong creative outlook;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills;
  • Skills in WordPress (preferred);
  • Experience and familiarity with social media.

Trade Coordinator

The BCCK offers an exciting and dynamic environment in which to work.  The main purpose of this role is to be part of the Trade Services team, which advises and supports British companies that are seeking to do business in Korea or are planning to expand existing activities. The Coordinator will be part of the Trade Services team of the BCCK under the supervision and guidance of the senior management. The Coordinator will work closely with the Department for International Trade team at the British Embassy, British and Korean companies, BCCK members, Korean and UK organisations.

 

Main Duties:

  • Undertake market research work for UK companies;
  • Help gather information to develop strategies/business plans that support UK companies seeking to begin or expand their business activities in Korea;
  • Find and organise contacts to develop a network with UK and Korean companies and organisations;
  • Support and produce Sector Reports;
  • Aid the provision of business advice and assistance to UK companies;
  • Conduct data entry and other reporting requirements to meet quality and timing targets;
  • Support and lead projects to help UK companies enter the market;
  • Support the wider work of the BCCK team and create additional opportunities for BCCK members;
  • Provide support to the CEO as needed;
  • Support BCCK events and functions as needed.

 

Skills Required:

  • Ability to learn new skills and absorb information quickly;
  • Good understanding of Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Understanding of the business environment in Korea and the UK;
  • Bachelor's degree in business, international relations, and/or other relevant fields.

The term of employment will be for 1 year from the start date, and may extend upon successful performance.
